02/16/16   Ruminant Workshop Tonight At Fordyce Civic Center

Beginning at 6pm this evening and running until 9pm, Dallas County Extension Service will host a small ruminant workshop at the Fordyce Civic Center Banquet Hall. Dallas County Extension Agent Keith Gresham will host the event which will address raising sheep and goats. Gresham said five speakers will be on the agenda, including Dr. David Hernandez, extension livestock specialist and interim dean at UAPB, who will discuss deworming and marketing.

Bradley County Extension agent John Gavin will talk about vaccinations. Cleveland County agent Les Walz will discuss forages and Brian Gibson, livestock technician for the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission, will discuss livestock and poultry commission regulations.
