02/16/16   Murder Trial In Rison Set For March 8

A court date of March 8,  has been set in Cleveland County Circuit Court for 20 year old Jonathan Guenther and 20 year old Brad Hunter Smith, both of Rison and both charged with capital murder, kidnapping and abuse of a corpse. The two, who have been held without bond, are charged in the murder of  22 year old Cherrish Faith Allbright of Rison last December.

According to a Cleveland County Sheriff's report, on December 7, family members reported Allbright missing. The family reported that Allbright had left her grandmother's house on December 3, and had not been seen or heard from since. According to Cleveland County Criminal investigator Gary Young, the investigation changed on December 10, from a missing persons report to a  homicide investigation when information led police to a location and recovery of the body of Cherrish Allbright.

Young said another person involved in the investigation has been free on bond. That person was not identified.
