02/12/16   Attorney General Says Be Ware Of  Tax Season Identity Theft

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge made a visit to South Arkansas on Wednesday, on her way to an event in El Dorado. During an interview with KQ-102.3's Jesse Kelly, Rutledge talked about identify theft being used during the tax season.

Rutledge is launching a series of workshops around the state aimed at helping educators combat dating abuse. Rutledge announced Wednesday her office is teaming up with the nonprofit group “Break the Cycle” to offer the three hour workshops in late February and in March.

The workshops will give teachers the resources they need to comply with a new state law that requires students in 7 through 12 grades receive instruction on dating violence awareness as a component of health courses.

Rutledge's office said it's committed to supplying schools with dating violence awareness materials.
