02/11/16   Small Ruminant Workshop Scheduled Next Week At Fordyce Civic Center

Dallas County Extension Agent Keith Gresham says a small ruminant workshop will be held next Tuesday evening from 6-9pm at the Fordyce Civic Center Banquet Hall.

There will be several professionals on the program including Dr. David Fernandez, Extension livestock specialist and interim dean at UAPB..he'll discuss deworming and marketing. Kenny Simon, extension program associate for forages will discuss fencing. John Gavin Bradley County Staff chair will be on hand to talk about vaccinations. Cleveland county extension service staff chair, Les Wallz will discuss forages and Brian Gibson, Livestock Tech for the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission will discuss livestock and poultry commission regulations.

Gresham, staff chair for the Dallas County Extension service says there's no charge for anyone wanting to attend but they'd appreciate hearing from you if you do plan to attend so they know how much material to have on hand. Call 870-352-3505 if you plan to attend.
