02/08/16   Dallas County Escapee Back In Custody

 

The Manhunt that was underway for the prisoner ,Paul Grice, 38, who escaped from the Dallas County Jail Early Sunday Morning is now over. Dallas County Sheriff Stan McGhee said They caught the Escaped Prison about 11:15 AM East of Monticello. McGhee said there was more than just his office looking for this escapee and he is thankful he is back in custody.

According to a Dallas County Sheriff's Department report, the Dallas County Detention Center inmate escaped sometime early yesterday morning. Dallas County Sheriff Stan McGahee said the last head count was between 11 and 11:30 Saturday night. 

The escapee identified as 38 year old Paul Grice, a white male, 5 foot 9  weighing 155 pounds, was being housed for another county and was waiting bed space in the department of correction. Grice has a lengthy criminal history including a charge of 2nd degree murder in 1998 in Jefferson County. Other charges include theft by receiving, possession of a firearm by a felon, theft of property, aggravated assault, residential burglary and theft of property.
