02/03/16   A 22-Year-Old And A Youth Arrested In Connection With Burglary At Morrow Creek Pawn Shop

 

Dallas County Criminal investigators continue their investigation into the break in at Moro Creek Pawn on Moro Street in Fordyce. According to Dallas County Chief Deputy Josh McMullen, the break-in occurred around midnight on January 27.

The thieves broke into the back of the building and proceeded to take the cash register with $3,000.00 inside, nine guns, including eight handguns and a shotgun, games and jewelry. McMullen says six guns have been recovered, 5 hand guns and the shotgun.

Twenty-year-old Deon Dunn of Fordyce and a juvenile have been taken into custody in connection with the break-in. Dunn is being held at the Dallas County Detention Center and the juvenile was released to juvenile authorities. The crime is still under investigation and it's possible more suspects may be taken into custody. Moro Creek Pawn Shop is owned by Harvey McCollum.
