01/27/16   Sparkman Man Facing Charges Of Burglary and Assault In Dallas County

Twenty-eight year old Colt Rucker of Sparkman faces charges of burglary and aggravated assault following an incident that occurred January 7,  in Sparkman.

Dallas County Deputy Ryan Coleman was called to a residence on West North Boundary in Sparkman on a report of a fight in progress. When Coleman arrived the fight was over. He found 25 year old Zachary Olivaraz standing in front of the house with his child and girlfriend, Leann Rucker. They reported Rucker broke into the home and attempted to go after Leann. Zach stepped in the way and struck Rucker, knocking him back out the door but Rucker came back inside ransacking the house. He struck Olivaraz with a candle causing a gash on his head.

Rucker left behind some lottery tickets and a small metal container believed to contain meth. Coleman left and went to Rucker's residence and found it ransacked, finding a firearm on the floor. Rucker could not be found and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
