01/18/16   Bearden Elementary School Principal Talks To Board About Testing And Discipline

At last week's Bearden School Board meeting, elementary teachers presented academic updates for the 2015-2016 school year as it pertains to their respective classes. Following the meeting we spoke with Bearden Elementary School Principal Sonya Launius about a presentation she made at the beginning of the meeting. She told us on-line testing short changes the students.

Launius told school board members discipline problems in the school have improved and why she believed that to be so.

Launius said each student begins with 100 points and the teachers deduct points for bad behavior.
