Fordyce police officers made a total of 20 arrests at the beginning of the new year, through January 11, here are some of the reports released by Police Chief Jimmy Vaughn.

On January 4, officer Shad Foley arrested Amber Lynn Rinehart of Fordyce and charged her with possession of a controlled substance.

On January 5, officer Foley charged Brett Carlton Odom of Warren with driving on  suspended license and not liability insurance on a suspended license and not having liability insurance.

There were two hot check arrests, On January 6, Officer Chad Hubanks arrested Mollie Elizabeth Merritt of Fordyce on violation of the Arkansas hot check law. And on the same day , officer Foley arrested William Gregory Slaughter of England on a similar violation of the hot check law.

On January 9, officer Bryce McKinney arrested Laqueta Dalane Smith of Fordyce and charged her with driving on a suspended license and contempt.

Those arrested and charged with failure to appear in court include Rushen Johnson of Fordyce, Jordan M. Brown of Benton, Jamekia Bailey of Fordyce and Drew Tanner of Pine Bluff.

January 11, James Clinton Childress of New Edinburg was arrested and charged with failure to comply to a court order.
