01/13/16   Little Rock Man Charged In Baileys Game Room break-in

 

Charges have been filed in Dallas County Circuit Court by deputy prosecutor Tom Wynne on a case dating way back to 2012.  Burglary charges were filed against Lecel Dwayne Rood of North Little Rock. Rood is charged with breaking in at Bailey's Game Room on September 26, 2012.

Rood was a maintenance man for Bailey's at the time and he was identified by surveillance video in the store.  Rood has a long criminal record dating back to 1985 when he was found guilty on a burglary charge, in 1987 he was found guilty on a breaking and entering charge, he was found guilty of two counts of 1st degree battery in 1988 and 2009. In 1998 and 2009 he was found guilty of theft by receiving, in 2001 and 2006, he was found guilty on 3 counts of commercial burglary. His status as a parolee was revoked in 1999 due to his criminal activity.

Wynne will seek to have Rood tried under the habitual offender statute which allows the judge to levy more jail time.
