01/11/16   Dallas County Declared Disaster Area By Governor Hutchinson

Governor Asa Hutchinson has declared Dallas County a disaster area along with Independence, Lee, Mississippi and Woodruff, after severe storms caused heavy flooding and damage throughout the state last month. So far 43 counties have been declared disaster areas.

According to a spokesman at the governor's office, as damage assessments continue, more counties may be added.

Severe storms, flooding and tornados began December 23 and continued to  cause damage throughout the state.
