01/11/16   Pine Bluff Records First Murder Of The Year

 

Pine Bluff has recorded the first homicide of 2016. Early Friday morning, Pine Bluff Police responded to Buie's Grocery on Port Road in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival officers found an 85 year old black male, Lenon Buie of Pine Bluff, behind the business unresponsive. Buie had suffered an apparent gunshot and was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Mike Boykin. As of Friday, police had no suspect or motive for the murder.
