01/07/16   Ouachita County Sets Reimbursement Rates For Election And Equalization Board Members

 

The JP's of the Ouachita County Quorum court Tuesday night set the  reimbursement rates for County Election Commissioners and County Equalization Board members.

County election commissioners will receive $100.00 Election Day and $100.00 per public meeting day with a maximum of 14 meetings during an election year. Minutes must be kept at the meetings when official business is conducted and the minutes must be filed with the County Clerk. The board will not receive compensation for election duties until after the election results have been certified and delivered to the Secretary of State.

County Equalization Board members will be reimbursed at the rate of $100.00 per public meeting day. Ouachita County will reimburse for mileage with proper documentation at the rate of 42 cents per mile.
