01/04/16   Bearden Library/Museum Foundation To Be Poured This Week

The effort continues in Bearden to get the old train depot moved to its new location downtown and converted into a library-museum combination. In a recent interview, Bearden Mayor Iva Lou Stoker told us the foundation for the depot should be laid this week. She said more funds are needed to get the depot moved.

Stoker said the success of a recent fund raiser is an indication that the residents of Bearden are in favor of the project.
