0101/16   City Of Fordyce Receives State Funds To Help Pay For Water Line Improvements

The City of Fordyce has received state General Improvement funds to pay for an extension of city water lines that will loop the city water system lines and improve water pressure in the Dallas County Industrial Park.

Total cost of the project is $72,775.00 with over $32,000.00 being provided by the state. The project is expected to begin this month. An eight inch water line will  be run from industrial park and connect with a water main on Sevier Street.. slightly over a half mile. Water pressure will not only improve in the industrial park but also for residents along Highway 79. It will also be helpful for fire protection in the area, providing more water pressure on the lines.
