12/29/15   Damage Reported In Surrounding Counties

The National Weather Service was busy surveying damage in southern Arkansas after severe storms hit the state on Sunday.

In Bearden trees were downed and buildings damaged including the Corner convenience store and the Fellowship Baptist annex next door to the Corner. LaRon Hayes lives two doors down from the Fellowship Baptist building and described for us what he witnessed.

Dallas County Judge Jimmy Jones told us Dallas County was very fortunate, the only damage he saw was washouts on some of the roads, and he cautioned people.

A house was reported damaged at Hampton. Damage was also reported in Bradley County and the weather service says at least six homes and three barns were destroyed near Willisville in Nevada County.
