12/24/15   I-49 Multi-Vehicle Crash Claims Three Lives Injures 7 Others

State Police have identified two Fouke men killed in a multi-vehicle pileup on I-49 in Miller County on Monday night.

According to a preliminary State Police report, 38 year old Johnie Patterson Jr. and 53 year old Dennis Hyman Jr. of Fouke were both killed in the crash and were drivers of two different vehicles.

State Police also identified four other people injured. 21 year old Anndria Dyess of Houston, Texas was the driver of another of the six vehicles listed in the report. Thirty five year old Shannon Winowich of Texarkana, the driver of another vehicle involved in the crash was injured, and two passengers of two other vehicles, 37 year old Kristine Patterson of Fouke and 23 year old Seth Brittain of Houston, Texas, a passenger in the Dyess vechile.

According to the report..a 2007 Kenworth tractor-trailer, headed south on I-49 slowed due to dense fog and was rear-ended by one vehicle which caused a chain reaction. Three people died in the crash and a total of seven people were injured.
