12/17/15   Mother And Son Charged In Attempted Escape From Dallas County Jail

37 year old Paul Dewayne Grice of Warren and his mother, 59 year old Judy Grice of Warren have been charged in circuit court in Dallas County in connection with an attempted escape from the Dallas County Detention center in Fordyce on October 10.

Paul Grice was charged in papers filed by Deputy Prosecutor Tom Wynne with furnished, possessing or using a prohibited article, which was a cellphone found in his cell at the detention center.

He was also charged with 2^nd degree escape and Wynne will seek to have him tried as a habitual offender which means the judge can levy more jail time. Judy Grice was charged by the prosecutor with conspiring to assist in the escape from jail of her son Paul Grice.
