12/10/15   Hermitage Man Dies In Two Vehicle Collision In Cleveland County

 

A 47 year old Hermitage man died in a two vehicle  crash in Cleveland County yesterday morning north of the Rye community.

According to a preliminary state police report, a 2010 Ford F150 pickup truck headed south on highway 63 and driven by Jimmy Carpenter of Hermitage, veered to the left, crossed the center line, striking the front left side of a north bound 2004 Peterbilt truck.  Carpenter died at the scene.  The driver of the semi truck was not identified in the report.

According to the report, weather conditions were cloudy, the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 7:45 yesterday morning on U.S. highway 63, north of Rye.  Corporal Byron Curry of the state police investigated the crash.
