12/05/15   Bearden Christmas Bazaar Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the Build a Better Bearden Christmas Bazaar at 1^st United Methodist Church in Bearden from 9am till 4pm.

There will be a good selection of hand made crafts and a lunch of soup, cornbread, dessert and drink will be served from 10am-2pm.  The event is open to the public and is a fund raising project for the train depot library-museum project.  The old train depot, now located along 79-North at the 79-B exit into Bearden, will be moved to a location near downtown Bearden and the building converted to a library-museum complex.

Councilwoman Denise Link is heading up the project and says cash donations are needed to raise $12,000.00 for moving expenses and laying a foundation for the facility.  Much of that money has been raised, and Link says there's now an additional incentive for donors to give a tax deduction.
