12/02/15   Two Recent Break-Ins In Bearden

On November 28, Lt. Cedric Gregory of the Ouachita County Sheriff's office responded to a reported break-in at 148 Ouachita 225 at Bearden.

Mrs. Pamela Davenport returned home and discovered several items had been taken from their home, including a TV and three firearms.  There were no signs of forced entry and the door was locked when they returned home.  Mrs. Davenport stated the lockeddoor was easy to “jimmy” if you knew how.

According to Davenport, only  family members knew where the firearms were kept.  Mrs. Davenport stated she would contact family members to see if they knew anything about the missing items.

On November 29, Ouachita county deputy Anthony Nicholson was dispatched to 173 Ouachita 42 in response to a shed being broken into. The reporting person, Stephanie Stewart of Bearden said her shed had been broken into and her employers tools were stolen from the shed.

Stewart didn't know for sure when the break-in occurred.  Nicholson made contact with Kenneth Humphries, the owner of the tools.  Humphries stated he knew who had taken his tools but could not provide a list at the time of the items taken. Humphries was advised to make out a list of the items taken and contact the CID division of the sheriff's department.
