11/16/15  Sparkman Man Arrested

A Sparkman man has been charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.  The charges were filed against 46 year old Jerry Hammonds of Sparkman on  2^nd following a traffic stop on State Highway 273. 

Dallas County Deputy Ryan Coleman stated in his incident report that Hammonds crossed over the center line an jerked back and Coleman stopped Hammonds.  Hammonds was asked if he had anything in his vehicle and he responded no. 

Coleman then asked to search the vehicle and Hammonds said he had some needles, spoon and empty baggies with meth residue in a glasses case.  Coleman then searched the vehicle further and found some meth in a cigarette box.  Hammonds was taken into custody and transported to the Dallas County Detention Center.
