11/11/15  SAU Tech's Second Chance Open House

 

Tomorrow is SAU-Tech's Second Chance Open House Event at the Ross Center in Camden.  It's an opportunity to learn about the college's programs and services..meet program faculty..apply for admission..for financial aid and learn about weekend, evening and online classes.  Find out how you can get your first class free. SAU Tech's executive director, Robert Gunnells was our guest on the Bearden Brunch Bunch last week and talked about the school and its course offerings. When talking about manufacturing jobs, Gunnell said in most cases those jobs aren't greasy and dirty anymore.

In Ouachita County..there are a couple of races.

 

Betty R. Wilson, Ouachita County Circuit Clerk is being challenged by

 

Gladys Ferguson Nettles.  Nettles currently is employed in the Ouachita County

 

Assessor's office.  Wilson has held the Circuit Clerk's position since 2009 and

 

was employed in the office prior to that.

 

The other race is for Ouachita County Coroner.  Sylvester Lee Smith Jr. is the

 

incumbent.  His challenger is Kenneth “Kenny” Morris.

 

The Democratic and Republican Primary election is March 1st.
