11/09/15  CADC TO DISTRIBUTE USDA COMMODITIES

  

Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute USDA Commodities November 17 & 18 in Calhoun, Dallas and Ouachita Counties and November 19 & 20 in Columbia and Union Counties.  

The food items to be distributed may include Applesauce, Cranberry Sauce, Vegetable Soup, Spaghetti Sauce, Potato Flakes, Peanut Butter, Grape Juice, Wheat Bran Cereal and Boned Chicken in Pouches.

            The distribution in Calhoun, Dallas and Ouachita Counties will be held November 17 & 18 at the following locations:

            Calhoun County's distribution will begin at 9 a.m. at the CADC Office, 210 South Lee in Hampton.

            Dallas County’s distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the CADC Fordyce Office at 410 E. 4th St. and First Baptist Church at 225 Ethel St. in Sparkman.

            Ouachita County’s distribution will begin at 9 a.m. at Carnes Park at 955 Adams Ave. in Camden.

            The distributions in Columbia and Union Counties will be held November 19 & 20 in the following locations:

            Columbia County’s distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the C.W. Easter Building in Waldo, 902 E. McKissack.

            Union County’s distribution will be at the Union County Fairgrounds, 334 W. Hillsboro Street in El Dorado beginning at 9 a.m.

All customers receiving commodities must present identification. To be eligible, income guidelines must be met. Income guidelines for this program are based on 130% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Based on these guidelines, a one-person household must make less than $15,301 per year to qualify for this program. For each additional family member, add $5,408.
