11/04/15  Social Security Fraud In Bearden

A Bearden woman reported to the Ouachita County Sheriff's office on Tuesday, October 26,  that she is the victim of fraud and theft of Social Security benefits.

Mrs. Melinda Carter reported to Deputy Cedric Gregory that her Social Security check has always been deposited directly into her bank account.   In August of this year someone had diverted the funds to another in a bank located outside the continental U-S.  She said the account is under a mans name and Carter has no idea who it is. Carter's working with Social Security Administration personnel on the matter and was advised to file a report of the incident.
