11/04/15  Latest Political Filings In Dallas County

Several incumbent office holders in Dallas County have filed for re-election and there have been three who have filed that are seeking offices.

The incumbents include Sheriff Stan McGahee, Jeff Ballard, Ward two-position two Fordyce city councilman; Leslie Nutt has filed for re-election for Dallas County Treasurer; Steve Mann of Sparkman has filed for re-election to Ward-three position one city councilman; Alfred Fite has filed for re-election to JP District 7 representative on the Dallas County Quorum Court; Mary Oliver of Sparkman has filed for re-election to ward one city councilman; Brenda Black has filed for re-election for Dallas County Collector and John Meador has filed for JP District 4 represenative on the Dallas County Quorum court.

The new candidates are, for County Clerk, Pam Barnes and Judy Turner, both of which currently work in the County Clerk's office. Vanessa Ruth Pierce has filed for the office of County Assessor. The deadline for filing for office is Monday, November 9^th at noon.
