10/27/15  12 Appear In Bearden District Court

 

Twelve persons appeared in District Court in Bearden on October 15th to answer to various citations issued by Bearden police officers.  Judge Dan Ives presiding.

Tommie Shuler of Camden failed to appear in court for two traffic citations, driving on a suspended license and failure to have insurance.  Judge Ives posted $1,500.00 bond for Shuler and fined him a a total of $625.00 on the citations.

Elsey Craig of Bearden entered a not guilty plea on a charge of theft of property at the Corner Store in Bearden.  His trial is set for next court date, November 15th.

 Brandon Payne of Camden failed to appear in court on a charge of public intoxication.  Judge Ives fined Payne a total of $275.00 and set bond at $500.00.

Dantarius Cooper, no address given, paid the court $375.00 for failure to have insurance and another $165.00 for running a stop sign.

John Worthen, address not given, paid $165.00 in court for running a stop sign.

Samuel Williams, no address available, paid $145.00 for speeding.

Jerron Ragford, no address, paid $145.00 for speeding.

Jayme Lester, no address given, was fined $145.00 on a speeding violation. 

LaKimberly King, no address given, paid $375.00 in fines and court costs for failure to have insurance. She paid $200,00 and allowed to pay the remainder on time.

Dominique Plummer of Camden , cited for no drivers license and careless driving.  He paid $200.00

John Love of Bearden, cited for contempt of court, paid a total of $325.00 in fines and court costs.  

Josephy Thibault, no address listed, cited for driving on a suspended license and following too close, was ordered to pay $425.00 in fines and court costs and allowed to pay it out in six months.  

With the addition of two part time deputies, more violators have been cited for traffic violations and there have been more court appearances and more money paid.  The Bearden City Council has been debating whether or not to keep the district court in Bearden.
