A Bearden man has been charged on three felony counts in circuit court in Camden.

According to a police report filed with the charges filed by Ouachita County Deputy prosecutor R. Jeff Sawyer, 22 year old A'Nicholas J. Nelson was charged with two counts of possession of meth or cocaine, possession with intent to deliver and Sawyer will seek to have Nelson tried as a habitual offender which will mean more jail time.

On September first two parole officers were in Bearden looking for Nelson to serve him with a probation warrant.  When they confronted Nelson on a Bearden street, he admitted to having  “dope” in his pockets.  When officers searched Nelson they found two baggies of crack cocaine, meth and marijuana in his possession.

During an interview Nelson told officers that he had smoked marijuana since he was 14 and started selling at age 18.  Nelson says he buys his drugs from three different people in Bearden. Records indicate that Nelson was placed on five years probation in 2011 for a robbery charge
