10/21/15  Report Of A Deer Stand Theft In Ouachita County

Another deer club theft has been reported in Ouachita County.  On October 17,  Deputy Anthony Nicholson was dispatched to a lease near Ouachita County Road 487. 

John Olson of Camden stated he had a deer stand and  feeder stolen from his deer lease.  He valued the deer stand at 400 dollars and the feeder at one hundred dollars.

Deputy Nicolson reported he saw drag marks from where the stand and feeder had previously been to a residence on 487.  Nicholson said he saw a deer feeder matching the description Olson gave him on the property. A resident at the address, Richard Collier, told Nicholson that the deer stand was  his and he previously leased the property. Olson was advised of warrant and affidavit  procedures with District Court. Collier was advised no to trespass on the deer lease without permission of the property owner.
