10/21/15  Riding Lawn Mower Driver Killed Near Malvern

The driver of a riding lawn mower was killed in Hot Spring County Monday evening after the mower was struck by another vehicle.

According to a State Police report, 59 year old Lloyd Hulsey was southbound on Ridge Road near the intersection with Cloud Street in the Malvern area.. when a 2013 Nissan Altima, also headed south and driven by 82 year old John R. Parker of Malvern struck Hulsey's mower from the rear, causing the mower to leave the road and throwing Hulsey off.

Hulsey was taken to a Malvern hospital where he died. According to the report, Hulsey had no visible taillights on the mower. Weather conditions were clear, the roadway dry at the time of the mishap at 7:15 Monday night.  The incident was investigated by State Trooper Joshua Whitney of the State Police.
