10/16/15  Central Arkansas Development Council To Host Public Hearing

Central Arkansas Development Council will host a public hearing next Wednesday (Oct 21) at 10:30am to discuss their proposed purpose and strategies for the 12-county service area.

The primary purpose of the hearing is to find out what areas in the communities  in the service area need improvement. The hearing will cover plans through September 30 of next year.  Gathering input from the community is a condition of the funding for the Community Service Block Grant, which funds community action agencies nationwide. The findings will be used to address those specific areas through partnerships and programs.

CADC is seeking input for its service area of Dallas, Calhoun, Ouachita, Columbia, Saline, Hot Spring, Clark, Montgomery, Pulaski, Lonoke, Union and Pike counties. The public is invited to attend the hearing. For more information, contact Evelyn Reed at 501-778-1133.
