10/16/15  DeQueen Man Dies Following Car-Truck Crash

A 65 year old DeQueen man died following a car-truck collision in Sevier County on Wednesday. 

According to a State Police report, a 2009 Chevy pickup, driven by Norley Frank Bickley III of DeQueen, and a 1996 Mack Truck, driven by 70 year old Clifton D. Ward of Dierks were both eastbound on highway 71 when Bickley pulled onto the south shoulder and attempted to make a left turn across two lanes and was struck by the truck. 

Bickley was pronounced dead at a DeQueen hospital.  The report did not indicate that Ward suffered any injury in the collision.  Weather conditions were clear and the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 5:32 Wednesday morning on highway 71, 4 miles east of DeQueen.

Corporal Robert Wilson of the State Police investigated the accident.
