10/15/15  Part Time Program For Bearden Police Department Will Continue

The Bearden City Council, at its meeting Monday night voted to continue the part time one program for the Bearden Police Department.  City Marshall John Ainsworth explains the program.

Meagan Rockwell has been doing some research for the city of Bearden concerning uncollected fines.  She was given the green light by the city council to continue her work. One of the reasons the council has been considering closing down the Bearden District Court is because of lack of funds.  The city is owed thousands of dollars in unpaid fines.  Rockwell is going to pursue methods that might be used to collect some of that money.
