10/14/15  New Bearden Mayor Says Water Tank repair Will Be Expensive

One of the first items to be presented by Bearden's new mayor at the council  meeting on Monday night was the repair of the city water tank.  Mayor Iva Lou Stoker said the repair will be a costly undertaking.

Just exactly how much the water bills will be going up for Bearden water users has not been determined.  A figure tossed out Monday night was that the rates would go up to 14-50 per month. The motion to accept the loan from Arkansas Natural Resources was unanimous.
