10/13/15  Cement Truck Drops Transfer Case In Road Accident Ensues

Saturday morning, shortly before 7am..Ouachita County Deputy Sheriff Wayne Bradshaw responded to the report of an accident on Highway 79-North involving a cement truck.

Bradshaw learned that a vehicle driven by 17 year old Ryleigh Feemster and occupied by her mother, were driving north on 79 when they saw something in the road and were unable to avoid hitting it.  The vehicle struck the object, diabling it. A cement truck, owned by Apex, driven by John E. Stringfellow was also disabled on the shoulder of the road. 

Stringfellow stated that as he was traveling north on Highway 79 when the transfer case separated from his vehicle, leaving debris in the highway.  A third vehicle, driven by Mrs. Rebecca Relaford sustained a flat tire from the debris in the roadway.  There were no injuries.
