10/08/15  Ouachita County Quorum Court To Meet Tonight

Tonight at the Ouachita County Quorum Court meeting, the JP's will consider and ordinance to provide funds to create four full-time Deputy Sheriff positions.  The positions will be funded from the balance of the Jail Operating Fund. 

The ordinance is asking that a total of $89,149.00 be appropriated to hire the new deputies. The only other item of new business on the agenda tonight  is the appointment of members to the Ouachita County Historic Advisory Commission. County Judge Robbie McAdoo has recommended the following persons be appointed to serve on the commission.. John Wheeler, a 3 year term; Bill Hawkins, a three year term; Mary Bennett, a 2 year term; May Delaney, a 3 year term; Nelda Calley, a 2 year term; Becky Davis, a 2 year term and Donna Adams, a 3 year term.
