10/07/15  Area Veterans Will Be Honored In November

A special ceremony honoring all veterans will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday,  November 8,  at the Fordyce First Baptist Church.  The Chamber of Commerce Held the first such ceremony in 2007 in the Peace Park. Each year, all veterans have been honored and special emphases has been given To Veterans of specific wars at difference ceremonies. 

This year, veterans of all Wars will be honored with the fiftieth anniversary of the Vietnam War will be Noted. All veterans and families of veterans are encouraged to attend as well as the general  Public  as we pay tribute and express our appreciation to those who have worn the Uniform of our country. Immediately following the ceremony there will be a reception at the Dallas County Museum and special  Veterans’ exhibit. Assisting the Chamber in the event are the Dallas County Museum, GFWC Sesame  Club, the local Daughters of the American Revolution and the local Colonial Dames.
