09/30/15  Chidester Woman Charged With Fraud in Ouachita Court

In Circuit Court in Ouachita County, Deputy Prosecutor Phillip A. Stone has filed charges of fraudulent use of a credit-debit card against a Chidester woman.

Kelly Robertson, President of Camden Fairview Intermediate School P-T-O reported to police that Jennifer Brown, treasurer of the the organization had been making unauthorized withdrawals on the account. Between December 15, 2014 and July 15, 2015, Brown had made 87 fraudulent transactions with her card, totaling over $5,700.00 including ATM withdrawals of $4,000.00. 

Robertson discovered the fraud when she went to the bank to make a withdrawal to purchase some T-shirts.  Brown denied the accusation but bank video shows her making the transactions. Stone filed two counts of fraudulent use of a credit-debit card against Brown on August 28.
