09/29/15  Dallas County Sheriff's Report

On September 13, the Dallas County Sheriff's office received a theft report. Thomas Walker of Carthage reported that when he got into his vehicle on that morning and pulled away from his house he heard a noise, and walked around to the right side of his 2005 Chevy truck and the wheel and tire was missing. Someone had used a paint can to set the truck on while they removed the wheel and tire.

According to a report submitted by Deputy Rory Tucker, also on September 13 around noon, a man identified as Bruce Owens, also known as Poochie, came in the front door of the Sheriff's office, and he had a strong odor of intoxicants about him. Deputies placed him in detox and at the direction of Sheriff Stan McGahee, wrote him a citation  for Public Intoxication.
