09/23/15  Fund Raiser Planned To Raise Money For The Old Depot In Bearden

At last report, the fund raising effort to get the old depot moved inside the city limits of Bearden, was about half way to the goal of 12 thousand dollars.  That's the amount of money that must be raised to have the depot moved to a location off 203 near the city shops. According to councilwoman Paula Bounds, speaking at the council meeting  last week, a Depot Day is planned for October 24, at the Gazebo park in an effort to raise more money.

There will be food and entertainment provided as well.  Anyone who would like to assist in the project should contact Denise Link.  Donations are being received at the city clerk's office.
