09/23/15  Last Day Of Constitution Week

This is the last day of the Constitution Week celebration, commemorating the signing of the constitution back in 1787. Melrose Bagwell of Fordyce is a member of the Trace Chapter of the D-A-R.. and in an interview on KQ-102.3's South Arkansas Today, Melrose said the 1^st  amendment to the constitution was made by George Mason.

Mrs. Bagwell told us how you become a member of the Daughters of the Revolution.

Bagwell said the woman's husband remained faithful to the British and ended up going back to England.

Displays celebrating Constitution Week have been on display all week at the Dallas County Museum and Dallas County Courthouse.
