09/23/15  Blankenship Charged With Three Counts Of Theft

A 28 year old Fordyce woman has been charged with three counts of theft of property and one count of theft of services by the prosecuting attorney. Deputy prosecutor Tom Wynne filed the charges on September 5, against Heather M. Blankenship of Fordyce.

On April 23, the Fordyce Police Department got a call from an attorney representing Inteltravel Corporation in Del Ray, Florida wanting to file theft and fraud charges against Blankenship.  He said Blankenship worked on-line as a travel agent with the company until May of 2014 and was terminated. According to the attorney Blankenship continued booking trips after her termination using the company name and giving false confirmation papers to clients. One client paid Blankenship 15 hundred dollars for a trip she never received and the attorney reported there had been three victims of the scam.

In a related incident the Fordyce Police Department responded to a call at Days Inn where the assistant manager said Blankenship had stayed at the motel and when it came time to pay, her credit card was rejected.  She told the manager she had to go to the bank and get some money but she never returned.
