09/16/15  Bearden Closing In On Class-4 fire rating

Bearden Fire Chief A. W.  Evans told the Bearden City Council Monday night, the City is close to having a Class-4 fire rating. Evans says at the present time Bearden has 8 fire fighters and two more are in training.  He said he's working hard to get grant money to buy more equipment that's badly needed for the department.

Evans reported to the council some equipment that was taken when some former fire department members left has been returned. So what do you have to do to join the Bearden Fire Department?
