09/09/15  Fordyce Shows No Interest In Water Tank Rehab Project

No one showed up prior to last night's Fordyce City Council meeting for the public hearing on the Water Tank rehab.  The councilmen, at the regular meeting voted unanimously  to move ahead on the rehab project.  Alderman Robert Williams did not attend the meeting. According to water department manager, Wayne Berry, the rehab project entails draining the 750 thousand gallon tank and painting it inside and out.  The estimated cost of the project is between $400,000.00 and $500,000.00.  Berry said it's estimated that the project will take about two weeks to complete.  The water will continue flowing in Fordyce.
