James “Jim” A. Pierce of Hot Springs Village died Sunday at the age of 72. He was retired from the Dallas County Sheriff's Department, and the Fordyce Fire Department.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 at Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Jon Stubblefield and Reverend Willar Zeiser officiating.  Burial at Stoney Point Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, Barcelona Road Baptist Church or the Jr. Golf Association Scholarship Program in Hot Springs Village. Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce in charge of arrangements.
