08/28/15  No Foster Homes In Ouachita And Calhoun Counties

Governor Asa Hutchinson, during a two-day summit on Wednesday, said he wants the state to continue working with faith leaders about ways to address a shortage in foster homes. The head of the Division of Children and Family Services Wednesday urged those attending to help Arkansas expand the number of homes available for foster children.  The state has more than 43 hundred foster children but only 2 thousand 940 beds available.Tammy Caldwell of the CASA office in Ouachita county agreed, there's a  shortage of foster homes.

Caldwell says CASA's always needing volunteers and she says the best volunteers are retired folks.
