08/21/15  Log Truck Crash Rips Meter Loop Off House

Ouachita County Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle mishap on  Wednesday on Ouachita 364.  When deputies Sgt Chris Gill and deputy Christopher Lindsey arrived at the scene, it was determined that a log truck driven by Herman Hanson struck a power line causing a pole to snap, pulling a meter loop box off the side of a residence occupied by Teresa Wheeler.

Ouachita Electric responded and cleared the roadway.  Wheeler was advised to turn off her breakers inside the home. The meter loop was damaged along with damage to the roof of the home and under the eve at the front of the home. There was no report of any injury in the mishap.
