08/18/15  Camden Woman Dies in Car-Truck Crash

A 39 year old Camden woman died yesterday morning following a car-truck crash on highway 9 in Ouachita County. According to a state police report, a 2015 Freightliner truck, driven by 48 year old John Allen of Rosston, Arkansas was headed south on highway 9 and a 2006 Chevy, driven by Jackie McLendon of Camden, was head north.

McClendon crossed the center line and struck the trailer being pulled by the truck.  McLendon was pronounced dead at Ouachita County Medical Center  by Dr. Stephen Tabe at 9:08 am.  Allen was not injured. Weather conditions were clear, the roadway dry at the time of the crash at 8:11am  yesterday morning. The accident was investigated by State Trooper Corporal Billy Walker.
