08/14/15  Criminal Charges filed In Ouachita County Circuit Court

 

On July 29, Ouachita County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Phillip A. Stone filed charges of aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, aggravated assault and theft of property against 20 year old Shaumbra Deshaun Jones of Camden in the robbery at the Shell Food Mart on South Adams in Camden. 19 year old Miyha Manley of Camden was charged with aggravated robbery in the same incident.  23 year old Cortez Powell of Camden was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and theft of property in the robbery. Jones was charged in 2014 with sexual assault and this year has a pending burglary charge against him.  He got out of jail  on a signature bond provided by his grandfather.

On July 30, Prosecutor R. Jeffrey Sawyer filed charges of possession of  a controlled substance, meth or cocaine against 31 year old Bobby Lee Foust of Hampton.

52 year old  Terry Scott Sanders was charged on July 30,  in Circuit Court in in Camden with aggravated assault on a family member.  And Prosecutor Sawyer filed charges against 40 year old Chris Jerome “Tank” Turner of Camden of delivery of a controlled substance, two counts, illegal use of a cell phone in commission of a drug deal, and Sawyer wants Turner tried under the habitual offender statute that allows the judge to levy more jail time.  Turner is currently on parole. 

Prosecutor Phillip Stone has filed charges of breaking and entering and theft of property against 28 year old Dustin Wayne Bell of Camden and 20 year old Edgar Thomas Shephard III of Camden.  They are charged with breaking into a storage shed., Shephard was charged with three counts of breaking and entering. He told police he came back the second time without Bell.  The incidents  occurred on July 6, 7, & 8.

54 year old Deborah Lynn Riggs of Bearden has been charged in  Circuit Court in Camden with violation of the hot check law.  Riggs is alleged to have written several hot checks between March and July of this year.

And on August 6,  Deputy Prosecutor Sawyer filed 8 counts of breaking and  entering against 18 year old Parker Beck of Camden.  Beck is alleged to have broken into several vehicles and stealing various items, including hand guns. Beck admitted one handgun was recovered from a theft he had committed in Mississippi.  Beck was also charged with three counts of theft of property and theft by receiving.
