08/13/15  Fordyce Mayor Still Working On Bringing Another Grocery Store To Fordyce

Fordyce Mayor John McNichol says he's still working on getting another grocery store for Fordyce.  He says he's been working with WalMart..

At the council meeting Tuesday night..the council passed a resolution empowering the Mayor to apply for a General Improvement Fund Grant for air conditioning work at the civic center.

In other business, the council granted the request of David and Rita McKee to have property they own be zoned Residential Three.  The Planning and Zoning Commission made the recommendation to the city council.

The council appointed Patrick Tidwell and Tom Tidwell to a 3 year term on the Planning and Zoning commission.
